When BLESSINGS Become DISTRACTION

Do you know you can be rich and still be rooted in God?
Not everything that pulls you away from God is bad. Sometimes it is a blessing. New job, New business, More responsibilities, More travel, More money.

Slowly, the things God gave you begin to replace the time you used to give Him. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God…” Notice the word first, not sometimes. God is not against success, But He must never become second place in the life He helped build. Some people used to say, “Nothing will stop me from going to church.” Now small rain, small sleep, small football match…and excuses creeps in.. everything can stop them.

Blessings are good.

But if blessings make you too busy for God, then the blessing is quietly becoming a distraction.

Reflection

– Have my blessings reduced my devotion to God?

– Am I still putting God first, or just fitting Him into my schedule?

Prayer

– Lord, never allow Your blessings to pull me away from You.

– Help me to keep You first in every season of my life.
