PEACE IS THE GREATEST VICTORY

Welcome to the fifth edition of our series on ‘When God Fights for You.’ It is my prayer that your mindset continues to be transformed.

Sometimes, we wrongly assume that victory means proving others wrong. But what if real victory is simply having peace?

Listen carefully: You do not have to answer every accusation.

You do not need to win every argument. What good is winning an argument if it costs you the relationship? Reflect on that. You owe no obligation to explain yourself to everyone.

“When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.” — Proverbs 16:7 (NKJV)

When your life pleases God, you can step back and trust Him to handle the battles beyond your control.

Consider this:

Jesus faced relentless critics.

Joseph endured jealous brothers.

David confronted bitter enemies.

Yet, every single one of them kept moving forward.

Peace is not weakness; peace is the absolute confidence that God has your back.

Often, God does not change the people around you—He changes how you respond to them. Stop giving people free rent in your head while you pay the mortgage. Evict them! Hand that mental space back to God.

“Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.” — Psalm 119:165

Reflection

Am I fighting to guard my peace, or fighting merely to prove a point?

Prayer

Father, grant me the wisdom to discern which battles to fight and which to surrender to You. Guard my heart against bitterness, anger, and the urge for revenge. Fill me with a peace that remains unshaken by the actions of others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
