EVERYBODY DOES IT

 “Fools mock at sin…” — Proverbs 14:9

This truth forms the foundation of our ongoing series from the last episode.
One of the easiest ways to make sin feel acceptable is to hide behind the phrase: “Everybody does it.”
Everybody may be doing it. But listen: everybody is not your standard.
  • Cheating is common.
  • Lying is common.
  • Sexual immorality is common.
  • Gossip is common.
  • Drunkenness is common.
  • Online temptation is common.

Common doesn’t mean correct!

What is trending on TikTok may not be trending in Heaven. 📌
The crowd can make wrong look normal, but God’s Word doesn’t change simply because society changes. Do not follow the crowd so far that you lose your own convictions.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” — Romans 12:2
You do not need everyone to agree with your decision to obey God. Sometimes, standing alone is far better than blending into the wrong crowd.
  • Popular ≠ Godly
  • Normal ≠ Right
  • Viral ≠ Valuable

Reflection

If “everybody does it” were a valid excuse, Noah would have missed the ark. Don’t let the crowd decide your convictions—let God decide your direction.

Prayer

Father, give me the courage to stand for what is right, even when it is unpopular. Help me follow Your Word rather than the crowd, and keep my heart sensitive to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Don’t normalize what God told you to resist.
