SIN HAS GOOD MARKETING

Now you know, it’s not wisdom to despise the bait set by Sin. Don’t mock SIN!

“Fools mock sin [but sin mocks the fools]…” — Proverbs 14:9

Do you know Sin rarely comes looking dangerous?

Sometimes it looks attractive. It comes dressed as:

  • “Freedom.”
  • “Self-expression.”
  • “Everyone does it.”
  • “It’s my life.”
  • “No one is getting hurt.”

The packaging is attractive. The consequences are not. A trap wouldn’t be a good trap if it looked like one. That’s why temptation often comes looking harmless, exciting and convenient. hmmmm

Social media can make it look normal. Friends can make it look funny. Culture can make it look acceptable.

Listen to me, God’s Word asks a different question:

“Is it pleasing to God?”

The devil doesn’t usually advertise: “Come and destroy your future.” Instead… He says: “Come and enjoy yourself.”

Friend, always read the small print.

Don’t judge sin by its packaging. It’s deliberately packaged to deceive you!

“Abstain from every form of evil.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:22

REFLECTION

What have I accepted because it looked normal, popular or harmless?

PRAYER

Father, give me discernment to recognise temptation even when it looks attractive. Help me see sin through Your Word and not through the standards of culture. Keep my heart pure and my choices pleasing to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Remember: Not everything attractive is good for you. No product will ever be openly labeled as “SIN” or “EVIL”!
